How a small game catalog stays useful
The unglamorous work behind titles, broken links, duplicate revisions, control notes, and corrections.

Small does not mean automatic
A catalog entry connects a title, cover, platform, genres, description, launch file, and rights record. One wrong field can mislead search or send a player to the wrong game. Keeping the list useful means checking relationships, not merely counting entries.
Broken links are content errors
A polished description has little value if the cover or ROM no longer loads. Asset checks belong to editorial maintenance because they determine whether the page delivers what it promises. Reports should name the exact title and failed step.
Duplicates need explanation
Revisions and alternate releases may deserve separate files but not separate, competing explanations. Canonical links and edition labels let the catalog preserve a distinction without pretending it represents another game.
Corrections improve the whole system
A corrected genre changes filters; a corrected platform changes emulator selection; a corrected control note changes support advice. Treating feedback as structured maintenance produces more value than adding another unverified entry.
