Fullscreen changes attention, not the game’s rules
What fullscreen can improve, what it cannot, and why testing before expanding the player saves confusion.

A cleaner field of view
Fullscreen removes surrounding navigation and makes accidental clicks less likely. The larger image can also make projectiles and small platforms easier to see. Those are meaningful improvements even when the emulator itself runs at the same speed.
Pixels are still pixels
Expanding a low-resolution game does not create new visual detail. The browser scales the image to fit the display. A very large view may make hard edges more obvious, so the most comfortable size is not always the maximum size.
Test controls first
Confirm that movement, Start, and action buttons work before entering fullscreen. If input fails afterward, leave with Escape and click the canvas again. This separates a focus change from a game-loading problem.
Performance depends elsewhere
Fullscreen does not guarantee smoother play. Other tabs, power settings, and device load still matter. If both sound and animation stutter, reduce background work rather than repeatedly toggling the view.
